Deepening connections in 2026 and working together to build a better future.
People often ask me where my passion for events comes from and the answer is never as simple as they think it might be! This is my time to shine as a social impact nerd.
I started my career as an assistant manager at a corporate housing org, initially drawn to hospitality and tourism because it was a big industry with lots of opportunity. At the core, I simply loved helping people feel taken care of.
While completing my degrees, I began studying the social determinants of health and realized I wanted my work to have a deeper, community impact. That shift led me to LINK Strategic Partners, a community impact firm in DC, where I spent two years supporting engagement initiatives with local government and organizations and managing events for nonprofits.
Later, I got to lean into my creative side launching my events strategist practice, partnering with local organizations in Alexandria and clients calling in all the way from New York. As the world shifted quickly, I also shifted quickly wanting to be closer to the work on the ground to better understand how our built environment, public spaces, and civic systems shape safety, equity, and opportunity so | joined the Coalition for Smarter Growth last spring as the Events & Fundraising manager!
At heart, I'm a community connector. Events are my tool, not just because I love a good party and for things to look pretty! (| do) but because I see events as connective glue: the places where relationships form, ideas sharpen, and strategies turn into action.
I'm so grateful for all the incredible people I have met on my way, and all the great work these wonderful people do.
Here's to deepening our connections in 2026 and working together to build a better future.
